Our Success
Recent national studies by the Ford Foundation have underscored the impact of arts programs on the lives of young people, particularly at-risk children. Evaluations of ArtBridge programs reveal positive changes in the children, including improvement in school work, increased ability to tolerate frustration, improved focus, cooperation with others, and more open communication with peers and adult supervisors. ArtBridge classes bring much more than the fun of drawing and crafts and the skill development of music and photography – they help facilitators recognize problems or talents so children can receive special attention.
